Commodity Buyer Battery (m/f/d)

Your main tasks

Purchasing responsibility for the product groups batteries, charging solutions and equipment for electric vehicles with reporting to the respective commodity manager
Single point of contact for all internal stakeholders and suppliers for the commodity group in question
Supplier selection, inclusion of new suppliers in the supplier pool, maintenance of the supplier pool
Analysis of procurement markets and regions
Identification of opportunities and risks with regard to the product group in question
Coordination of technical modifications with suppliers and internal communication with the specialist departments
Preparation and execution of contract negotiations incl. contract management
Analysis of industry trends and developing technologies
Obtaining and comparing offers as well as performing value analyses and calculations with regard to prices and conditions
Continuous maintenance of data regarding delivery dates, prices and quantities in the ERP system
Execute purchase orders for parts and services
Responsibility for small sub-projects

Your profile

Completed university studies in the field of electrical engineering, industrial engineering, business administration or similar
More than 5 years of professional experience in a purchasing position in the automotive industry or a comparable industry desirable
Product group expertise in the area of batteries, charging solutions and equipment for EV vehicles
Confident appearance and negotiation skills with internal and external parties
Assertiveness towards suppliers and internal stakeholders
Reliability, confidentiality
Initiative and flexibility
Good knowledge of MS Office systems and ERP systems
Analytical, determined and independent personality
Communicative and proactive team player
Very good written and spoken German and English skills required
Willingness to travel
