Your main tasks

Performing the duties of an occupational safety specialist at our Aachen site
Safety-related support, consulting and inspection of the operating facilities as well as the vehicle fleet
Setting up and maintaining IT-supported databases on occupational safety
Consulting within the scope of projects to improve the company's safety culture
Accompanying, optimizing, supplementing and reviewing risk assessments and operating instructions
Advice on basic work design and prevention measures
Investigation after incidents, cause analysis and their evaluation together with the responsible persons of the companies
Preparation of documentation and fulfillment of reporting obligations
Ensuring and monitoring compliance with applicable legal, regulatory and operational requirements
Carrying out inspections and controls
Providing expert advice to managers and employees on all occupational safety issues
Development and evaluation of solution concepts for the design of safe and healthy workplaces and work processes
Conception and implementation of training measures to further raise awareness of occupational safety and health protection
Analysis of occupational accidents and development of suitable measures to avoid hazards
Qualified reporting, evaluation of reports, protocols etc.
Cooperation with the company physician, e.g. in organizing preventive medical check-ups

Your profile

Prerequisite is a completed technical training as well as an existing qualification as a specialist for occupational safety (according to §7 ASiG), a relevant degree would be desirable
Several years of sound professional experience in the field of occupational safety, ideally in the area of a manufacturing company
An additional qualification in the areas of fire protection and hazardous goods/hazardous materials would be an advantage
Very good knowledge of MS-Office
Organizational skills and the ability to work in a structured manner
Assertiveness, communication skills and a service-oriented approach to work
Very good written and spoken German as well as a good command of English would be an advantage
