Regional Sourcing Lead Asia-Pacific (m/f/d)

Your main tasks

Central contact person regarding potential sourcing in the assigned regions with direct reporting line to the Vice President Procurement
Analysis of sourcing markets and regions
Identify opportunities and risks related to all commodity groups typically sourced in the regions
Analyze industry trends and evolving technologies
Soliciting and comparing offers and performing value analyses and calculations with regard to prices and conditions
Purchasing responsibility for defined commodity groups with indirect reporting line to the respective commodity manager
Single point of contact for all internal stakeholders and suppliers for the commodity group in question
Supplier selection, inclusion of new suppliers in the supplier pool and supplier pool maintenance
Coordination of technical modifications with suppliers and internal communication with the specialist departments
Preparation and execution of contract negotiations incl. contract management
Continuous maintenance of data regarding delivery dates, prices and quantities in the ERP system
Execution of orders for parts and services

Your profile

Successfully completed technical studies with a focus on electrical engineering, industrial engineering, business administration or comparable qualification, such as a corresponding technical training with additional relevant work experience
Good knowledge of MS Office systems and ERP systems
At least 10 years of professional experience in a purchasing position in the automotive industry or a comparable industry desirable
Proven track record in sourcing in Asia and with Asian suppliers, especially in China and Taiwan
Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization
High reliability
Fluent in written and spoken German, English and Chinese.
