Regional Sourcing Lead Asia-Pacific (m/f/d)

Your main tasks

  • Central contact person regarding potential sourcing in the assigned regions with direct reporting line to the Vice President Procurement 
  • Analysis of sourcing markets and regions
  • Identify opportunities and risks related to all commodity groups typically sourced in the regions 
  • Analyze industry trends and evolving technologies 
  • Soliciting and comparing offers and performing value analyses and calculations with regard to prices and conditions 
  • Purchasing responsibility for defined commodity groups with indirect reporting line to the respective commodity manager 
  • Single point of contact for all internal stakeholders and suppliers for the commodity group in question 
  • Supplier selection, inclusion of new suppliers in the supplier pool and supplier pool maintenance
  • Coordination of technical modifications with suppliers and internal communication with the specialist departments 
  • Preparation and execution of contract negotiations incl. contract management 
  • Continuous maintenance of data regarding delivery dates, prices and quantities in the ERP system 
  • Execution of orders for parts and services

Your profile

  • Successfully completed technical studies with a focus on electrical engineering, industrial engineering, business administration or comparable qualification, such as a corresponding technical training with additional relevant work experience 
  • Good knowledge of MS Office systems and ERP systems 
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in a purchasing position in the automotive industry or a comparable industry desirable
  • Proven track record in sourcing in Asia and with Asian suppliers, especially in China and Taiwan
  • Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization 
  • High reliability 
  • Fluent in written and spoken German, English and Chinese. 
  • Confident appearance and negotiation skills with internal and external parties
  • Assertiveness towards suppliers and internal stakeholders
