Regional Sourcing Lead Asia-Pacific (m/f/d)
Your main tasks
- Central contact person regarding potential sourcing in the assigned regions with direct reporting line to the Vice President Procurement
- Analysis of sourcing markets and regions
- Identify opportunities and risks related to all commodity groups typically sourced in the regions
- Analyze industry trends and evolving technologies
- Soliciting and comparing offers and performing value analyses and calculations with regard to prices and conditions
- Purchasing responsibility for defined commodity groups with indirect reporting line to the respective commodity manager
- Single point of contact for all internal stakeholders and suppliers for the commodity group in question
- Supplier selection, inclusion of new suppliers in the supplier pool and supplier pool maintenance
- Coordination of technical modifications with suppliers and internal communication with the specialist departments
- Preparation and execution of contract negotiations incl. contract management
- Continuous maintenance of data regarding delivery dates, prices and quantities in the ERP system
- Execution of orders for parts and services
Your profile
- Successfully completed technical studies with a focus on electrical engineering, industrial engineering, business administration or comparable qualification, such as a corresponding technical training with additional relevant work experience
- Good knowledge of MS Office systems and ERP systems
- At least 10 years of professional experience in a purchasing position in the automotive industry or a comparable industry desirable
- Proven track record in sourcing in Asia and with Asian suppliers, especially in China and Taiwan
- Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization
- High reliability
- Fluent in written and spoken German, English and Chinese.
