Your main tasks

  • Technical and disciplinary leadership and guidance of the battery development team
  • Development responsibility for the conceptual design, development and validation of the HV battery as well as the electrical / electronic system integration
  • Ensuring the target specifications (performance, assembly capability, FuSi, homologation...)
  • Granting of approvals up to series release
  • Control of the budget in consultation with the division manager
  • Support of the division manager in the handling of projects/project organization, deadlines & status, capa plans & utilization, supplier sourcing, releases, industrialization, etc.
  • Communication of R&D strategy and goals to team members and experts
  • Reporting of development progress to technical project management
  • Process-safe and complete documentation of the technical topics and reporting of the project status to the division manager
  • Initiation, establishment, further development and coordination of strategic partnerships
  • Communication and coordination with suppliers regarding manufacturability, design and optimization of components
  • Close coordination with all internal and external project partners (design pool, suppliers, purchasing, quality, homologation, production, etc.)

Your profile

  • Successfully completed degree or further education ideally in electrical engineering / mechanical engineering.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the development of automotive HV battery systems, preferably with first management experience
  • Profound knowledge in the use of common CAD and PLM systems, ideally PTC Creo / Windchill
  • Distinct leadership, communication and delegation skills as well as assertiveness
  • Willingness to make decisions and assume responsibility
  • Ability to work independently, flexibility and high performance motivation
  • Understanding of organization and cross-divisional entrepreneurial thinking, ability to work in a team
  • High level of analytical competence and pronounced quality awareness
  • Confident, friendly appearance
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
