Homologation Expert (m/f/d) with focus on Active Safety

Your main tasks

  • Identification of current and future homologation requirements with regard to Active Safety for battery electric vehicles (BEV) of class M1 (passenger cars)
  • Advising the internal Active Safety development department on the implementation of homologation-relevant technical requirements (component/system/entire vehicle)
  • Ensuring compliance with homologation-relevant deadlines (entry into force of new requirements) with regard to Active Safety (component/system/total vehicle)
  • Ensuring compatibility of general development goals and specific homologation requirements
  • Creation and maintenance of descriptive documents within the scope of homologation projects
  • Project responsibility within the scope of homologation tests (virtual/static/dynamic)

Your profile

  • Successfully completed studies (Bachelor's/Master's/Diploma), preferably in the fields of automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable
  • At least 3 years of position-relevant professional experience, preferably in homologation at a vehicle manufacturer or at a technical service (TÜV, DEKRA, etc.)
  • In-depth understanding of relevant UN/EU legislation in the field of Active Safety: e.g. UN-R13-H, UN-R30, UN-R64, UN-R79, UN-R117, UN-R130, UN-R139, UN-R140, UN-R141, UN-R152, UN-R155, UN-R156, UN-R160, (EU) 2021/1958, etc.
  • Experience in project management, project timing, and project documentation
  • Analysis and assessment skills with regard to homologation-relevant issues
  • Ability and willingness to familiarise yourself quickly with new areas of responsibility
  • High level of understanding for complex technical contexts
  • Ability to work in a team and independently in a solution-oriented manner
  • Proficient in the use of common office applications (especially Teams/Outlook/Excel/Word/Powerpoint)
  • Experienced with database/PLM/ERP systems (e.g. NTT CERTassist/PTC Windchill/PSIpenta)
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
