The company unveils the new e.GO Lux shuttle

Aachen/Geneva, March 5, 2019 – e.GO MOOVE GmbH will present the new e.GO Lux shuttle from 7 to 17 March at the International Motor Show in Geneva 2019 (Exhibition Centre, Hall 1 + 2, Stand 1020). It presents the close-to-production e.GO Mover electric bus, a solution for the future for public passenger transport and, for the first time, the e.GO Lux, a trendsetting form of convenient and comfortable private transport.

The e.GO Lux is an electric bus intended for private trips. The buyer has the possibility to choose the interior equipment and furnishings of the shuttle. This way e.GO Lux offers travellers the opportunity to make good use of their travel time by using it as a mobile conference or living room. "The e.GO Lux is the perfect combination of mobility and well-being. Driving and working in such comfort at almost zero emission is not possible in any other vehicle,” says Günther Schuh, CEO of e.GO Mobile AG.

Another model on exhibit: the e.GO Mover electric bus

In addition to the new innovative vehicle, visitors to the show can also look forward to a close-to-production model of the e.GO Mover. Production start at the e.GO Plant 3 in Aachen is planned for April 2020. In terms of size, the model is comparable to an SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle), carries up to 15 passengers and provides an economical on-demand service in public transport by allowing passengers to use e-buses through mobile service providers, regardless of stops. Road-use approval will first be as a manually driven bus. With suitable software and hardware architecture from ZF, the e.GO Mover is designed to be autonomous in the future as well. A smaller vehicle version is available for private customers, craftsmen and retailers. Additional equipment with a range extender is also available. "The e.GO Mover is a trendsetter: Electric, networked and autonomous, it will help to solve the enormous challenges of city traffic. The new mobility service providers are the biggest driving force behind autonomous driving functions. Networked systems – made up of sensors, artificial intelligence, electric drives and actuators – are becoming increasingly important and ZF can supply all these from a single source. The e.GO Mover is the perfect proof of ZF's system expertise,” says Torsten Gollewski, head of ZF pre-development and managing director of Zukunft Ventures GmbH. ZF Friedrichshafen AG has shares in e.GO MOOVE GmbH.
