Smart concept: e.Go relies on simple aluminum chassis

The basic idea of e.Go is clever: The chassis consists of simple aluminum profiles, completely welded together by robots. “This means we don’t need expensive tools for production,” says Kreimeier. Body parts made of polymer plastic are flanged to the chassis. Not painted, but dyed through. “Look, nothing happens,” Kreimeier says, banging on the door. Not a dent, not a scratch.
